Jeddah, 5 Ramadan 1447 AH (22 February 2026)

Jeddah Municipality has approved an integrated program to mark Founding Day, running for several days and covering the decoration of main roads, squares, gates and parks across the city, highlighting national identity and strengthening pride in the three-century history of the Saudi state.

The program includes decorative flags on key corridors, lighting and installations carrying the Founding Day identity, and the decoration of Jeddah's gates and the operation of screens and billboards to broadcast congratulatory messages, unifying the visual identity of the occasion and creating a festive character befitting the national event.

The targeted sites include a number of squares and main streets, the Corniche and the gates, according to an approved schedule of decoration and installation work to ensure the city is ready and the festive features are complete before the occasion, while keeping traffic flowing and preserving the city's urban scene.

Prince Majed Park also hosts field events on 22 February, with corners for falcons, horses and handicrafts, along with children's activities and drawing and henna events, in an atmosphere evoking cultural heritage and strengthening the generations' bond with the history of the Saudi state since its founding in 1139 AH (1727).

The municipality affirmed its commitment to an integrated program reflecting the historical depth of Founding Day and strengthening pride in national identity, noting that every technical and operational resource has been deployed to present Jeddah in a festive form befitting the cherished national occasion and embodying the spirit of belonging and the bond between the leadership and the people.
