The Madinah Endowments Forum concluded yesterday under the theme "New Endowers and Innovative Disbursements", organized by the Uhud Association for Endowment Services in partnership with the General Authority of Awqaf and the region's Council of Civil Associations, with 520 participants among experts and specialists in the endowment sector.

29 Endowment Initiatives and 40 Strategic Agreements

The forum presented 17 scientific papers and 8 workshops, along with 85 individual advisory sessions. Some 65 local and international bodies took part, signing 40 strategic agreements to strengthen institutional integration in the endowment sector.

Participants said these initiatives aim to empower the endowment sector, support sustainability and increase the contribution of endowments to the national economy in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Forum Themes and Key Recommendations

The forum focused on four main themes:

  • Documenting and registering endowments and their sustainability
  • New endowers and how to attract them
  • Innovation in endowment disbursements
  • Institutional integration and strategic partnerships

Participants recommended several quality initiatives, including:

  • Using modern technology such as geographic coordinates and aerial imaging to document endowments.
  • Strengthening electronic links among the relevant bodies and raising awareness of endowment sustainability.
  • Conducting specialized studies to identify the characteristics of new endowers and designing innovative programs to attract them.
  • Adopting modern methodologies to develop endowment disbursements based on innovation and artificial intelligence.
  • Preparing a standard guide for partnership governance and establishing specialized think tanks in partnership with universities and the non-profit sector.

Leadership Support and the National Vision

The forum expressed its thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for its continued support of endowments and charitable work, and to the Governor of Madinah for his patronage and support of the region's initiatives, and praised the role of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce in the forum's success.

The forum is part of strengthening endowment sustainability, developing the endowment sector and activating its role in serving the community in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
