The sessions of the third International Arts and Design Conference continued in Madinah on its first day, with leading academics, researchers and specialists in the arts and design discussing the latest trends linking cultural identity with modern technology.

Visual Identity and Heritage at the Heart of Design

The conference featured a scientific session titled "Visual Identity and Heritage in Design and Applied Arts", chaired by Marwa Hussein Tawfiq, which addressed several specialized themes on integrating heritage into contemporary design. The session presented fashion design inspired by the aesthetics of AlUla in support of sustainability, along with the use of jewelry-making techniques to produce innovative handcrafted accessories.

It also discussed the role of scenography in developing interior design, especially in fashion centers, and a documentary study of the decorative and artistic characteristics of Makkah and Madinah in light of social and historical change.

Strengthening Cultural Identity in Modern Design

Participants stressed the importance of highlighting visual identity and cultural heritage as a core element in developing the applied arts and strengthening their presence in contemporary design, helping to preserve cultural heritage and employ it in innovative ways.

AI Opens New Horizons for Creativity

On the training side, a workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence in Digital Arts and Design: From Creative Idea to Generated Visual Model" was delivered by Aisha Bulaihish Al Omari of Taibah University.

The workshop addressed the role of AI as a supporting tool in the design process, from generating creative ideas to producing advanced visual models, and discussed intellectual property rights for AI-generated works and the leading digital tools used by artists and designers in the field.
