The fifth edition of the "Heritage of Nations" festival opened last night, organized by Qassim University under the patronage of HRH Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Qassim Region, running for six days at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah with more than 90 nationalities from around the world and a number of government and private bodies.

The festival is one of the leading cultural events hosted by the Qassim region, combining civilizational diversity with interactive experiences that reflect the cultures, customs and traditions of peoples, in an atmosphere designed to promote cultural dialogue and human closeness among nationalities.

Promoting Cultural and Civilizational Exchange

The festival aims to highlight cultural diversity among the world's countries and strengthen knowledge and civilizational exchange between visitors and participants, through live experiences reflecting the customs, traditions, folk arts and human heritage of each people.

It also seeks to instill understanding and closeness among cultures through interactive platforms that let visitors explore multiple civilizations in one place, raising cultural awareness and openness.

International Pavilions and Events for All

The festival features a wide range of international pavilions representing countries from every continent, alongside the Saudi pavilion and special pavilions presenting the history of the First, Second and Third Saudi States, reflecting the Kingdom's historical depth and stages of development.

Five different bodies also present varied exhibitions spotlighting the cultural and heritage features of each country, along with folklore and performance shows representing the folk arts of different peoples, in a rich cultural scene that attracts visitors of all ages.

Cooking, Coffee and Tea Days and a Children's Theater

Accompanying events include a dedicated cooking day, a coffee day and a tea day, along with handicraft displays and traditional foods reflecting the diversity of world cuisines, as well as a children's theater offering entertainment and educational programs for the young.

The festival also features a classic car exhibition, taxidermy displays and live falcons, along with many interactive activities for every segment of the community, making the festival a complete experience of culture, entertainment and knowledge.

The University's Role in Cultural and Community Life

The festival is part of Qassim University's efforts to support cultural and community activity and provide interactive platforms that raise visitors' cultural awareness and highlight the university's role in building bridges of civilizational communication among peoples.
