Dhahran, 15 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH

Eid Al-Adha celebrations at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) drew more than 85,000 visitors over four days, in a varied cultural and entertainment program held under the theme "Ithra Eid: Moments We Share", offering an exceptional experience that brought together multiple cultures of the Islamic world in a lively festive atmosphere.

The center's facilities hosted a series of interactive events and cultural performances reflecting the Eid customs and traditions of six Islamic countries: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt, Morocco, Indonesia and Uzbekistan, in an experience that strengthened cultural exchange and human connection among visitors.

Six Cultures Under One Roof

Ithra turned its facilities into open spaces presenting the features of Eid celebrations in several Islamic countries, through traditional hospitality, performances, folk tales and a variety of workshops.

The events gave visitors the chance to discover the social customs of Eid in an atmosphere that combined authenticity with modern interactive experiences.

A Journey of Flavors and Scents

The Plaza offered a unique experience presenting the best-known traditional drinks, from Saudi coffee and Omani karak to Moroccan and Indonesian tea, Egyptian hibiscus and Uzbek green tea.

The event "A Story from Every Scent" drew visitors by evoking fragrances tied to different Eid cultures, such as Taif rose, Omani frankincense, orange blossom and Uzbek apricot, while "Eid Tea Tales" offered a cultural tasting experience exploring the connection between drinks and social occasions.

Music and a Strong Public Turnout

The Ithra Theater saw large audiences at the concerts performed by singer Humood AlKhudher, whose performances added a distinctive festive atmosphere that enhanced the visitor experience during the Eid days.

Special Programs for Children and Families

The center dedicated a set of educational and entertainment activities for children inside the Children's Museum, including interactive games, workshops and varied shows combining learning and fun.

The Energy Exhibit hosted innovative science experiences such as "Journey of Aromatic Feelings", "The Hidden Color" and "Eid Spectrum", blending science and the senses in activities for children and families.

Reviving Eid Memories and Heritage

In the Knowledge Oasis, the event "Eid at Grandmother's House" revived the traditional Eid atmosphere of old homes through storytelling and the social details of the occasion.

Families also took part in the "Decorate Our Eid" workshops, which reintroduced traditional Eid decorations as part of the cultural and social heritage.

An Art Experience Running Until 2027

The Ithra Museum welcomed visitors to the exhibition "Tafassahu" (Make Room), an artistic experience inspired by the concept of the traditional majlis, in a space inviting reflection on hospitality, belonging and human connection. The exhibition continues until 20 March 2027.

The success of the celebrations reflects Ithra's growing role in delivering quality cultural and creative experiences that energize cultural life and cement the Kingdom's standing as a leading destination for diverse cultural events.
