Jeddah, June 2026

HE Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation, said the anticipated bout "The Comeback" between British boxer Anthony Joshua and Albania's Kristian Prenga, scheduled for 25 July in Jeddah, has continued to attract wide media and fan interest around the world since its announcement.

Alalshikh said the Kingdom has become a main stop for hosting the biggest international sporting and entertainment events, noting that the fight at Jeddah Superdome, part of Jeddah Calendar in cooperation with Riyadh Season, extends the Kingdom's run of successes in attracting the biggest names and championships in the world.

His remarks came as London hosted the press conference that saw the first face-to-face media encounter between Joshua and Prenga, before a large turnout of international media and boxing fans awaiting one of the strongest heavyweight fights of the year.

Alalshikh said the scale of global engagement with the fight reflects the Kingdom's growing standing on the map of international sporting events, and said he looks forward to delivering an exceptional experience for fans and continuing to strengthen Saudi Arabia's presence as a global destination for major sporting and entertainment events.

Anthony Joshua expressed his appreciation for the support behind the fight and said he is fully ready for the anticipated bout after an intensive training camp, adding that his focus is on delivering a strong performance befitting his standing in boxing.

Kristian Prenga, for his part, expressed confidence in his ability to spring a surprise, saying he is taking on the biggest challenge of his professional career and preparing with the utmost seriousness for this global bout in Jeddah.

Joshua headlines the event with a professional record of 28 wins and 4 losses, including 25 by knockout, while Prenga enters with a standout record of 20 wins, all by knockout, against a single defeat.

The event is part of continued efforts to cement the Kingdom's standing as one of the world's leading destinations for major sporting championships, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of developing the sports and entertainment sectors and strengthening their international presence.
