Riyadh today hosted a distinguished educational celebration marking the graduation of the 31st class of the King Faisal School for the 1447 AH academic year, under the patronage of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, in the Prince Sultan Grand Hall at the Al Faisaliah Hotel.

On arrival the Deputy Governor was received by HH Prince Mansour bin Saad bin Farhan, Assistant Secretary General of the King Faisal Foundation, along with John Martin McElhone, Director General of the King Faisal School, and a number of education leaders, officials and parents.

The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the royal anthem, then a speech by the Director General, who said the ceremony marks an important milestone for 150 students who have completed a stage of education full of achievement, adding that the graduates carry the responsibility of contributing to the nation's future and supporting the development and innovation the Kingdom is witnessing under Saudi Vision 2030.

He said the King Faisal School continues its mission of preparing a generation with the knowledge, skills and values needed to compete globally and serve the nation across fields, and wished the graduates success in their next academic stages.

The ceremony included the graduates' procession in an atmosphere of pride, before the students took commemorative photographs with the Deputy Governor to mark an occasion that represents an important turning point in their educational lives.

The audience also watched a video titled "Path of Excellence" tracing the students' milestones and achievements over their school years, followed by a speech by the graduates expressing gratitude for the support of their families, teachers and school administration and affirming that today's achievement is the fruit of years of hard work and the pursuit of excellence.

Outstanding students were honored for their academic achievements, and a film titled "It Was a Dream, Now a Reality" followed the students' journey from joining the school to graduation. The program closed with a national operetta embodying the values of belonging and loyalty, followed by a performance of the Saudi Ardah with the participation of the Deputy Governor amid an enthusiastic audience.

The occasion was attended by a number of princes, ministers and senior officials, along with the graduates' parents, who shared with their children the joy of celebrating their academic achievement and their move to a new stage of their education.
