The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority has announced the completion of its preparations for the launch of the sixth Al Armah Season, as part of its continued efforts to promote ecotourism and raise the quality of services for visitors and ecotourism service providers in the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve.

The preparations included the launch of a platform for managing ecotourism activity licenses, which provides a single digital path for issuing and managing licenses electronically, simplifying procedures, strengthening digital governance and raising service efficiency in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The platform allows investors and service providers to complete every licensing step online, from creating an account and reviewing the requirements, to entering facility data and attaching documents, to tracking applications, along with services for issuing and renewing licenses, submitting operational reports and communicating directly with the authority.

As part of developing the ecotourism ecosystem, the authority held a workshop in cooperation with the Saudi Tourism Authority to qualify destination management companies, aimed at raising the readiness of operating partners, improving service quality and developing ecotourism experiences in line with global best practices.

The authority also ran a specialized workshop introducing its environmental management plan, focused on strengthening service providers' compliance with environmental and operational requirements and supporting practices that help preserve natural resources and biodiversity within the reserves.

The authority closed its preparations with a final workshop reviewing the outcomes of the fifth Al Armah Season and discussing development opportunities and recommendations to improve the visitor experience in the new season, strengthening the royal reserves' standing as leading ecotourism destinations in the Kingdom.
