Riyadh is preparing to host the Global Security and Technology Summit (GSTS) from 18 to 20 December 2026, organized by the Ministry of Interior in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy and held under the patronage of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The summit is an international platform bringing together leaders from the security, technology and innovation sectors, along with decision-makers, experts and specialists from around the world, to exchange expertise and review the latest solutions and trends shaping the future of security amid rapid technological change.

Advanced Themes for the Future of Security

The summit will address a set of advanced technical and security topics including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and data analytics, the Internet of Things, and emerging technologies and their security applications.

Its sessions will also cover digital forensics, smart surveillance technologies and crisis management, giving participants access to the latest global experiences and practices in using technology to strengthen security capabilities and respond to future challenges.

SAIIF: A Global Platform for Security Innovation

The summit's accompanying events include the SAIIF global security and technology innovation competition, to be held in Riyadh from 19 to 21 November 2026.

The competition aims to attract innovators, researchers and technology talent from around the world to develop new solutions serving the security sector, with total prizes of SAR 5 million.

Competition tracks focus on a number of vital technologies, including artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, digital forensics, cybersecurity, infrastructure protection and digital transformation in security fields.

A Month of Security and Technology

The summit agenda also includes the Security and Technology Month program, offering specialized programs, knowledge sessions and technical workshops in cooperation with leading global organizations.

The program aims to enrich knowledge in security and technology, encourage the exchange of expertise among specialists, and support innovation and national capacity building in the technology and security sectors.

GSTS builds on the success of the Kingdom's technology and security events, including the Absher 2025 conference, which set three Guinness World Records, among them the record for the world's largest hackathon.
