Saudi Arabia has submitted its bid to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh. In its presentation to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the Kingdom proposed "The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow" as the main theme, with three sub-themes: a better future, climate action, and prosperity for all.

Total expenditure for the Expo stands at $7.6 billion, including $5.46 billion in investments in the Expo site, land and facilities. Pavilions account for $1.75 billion and the Expo village and facilities for $1.45 billion, while $382 million is allocated to infrastructure in Riyadh.

Operating expenses total $1.47 billion, led by promotion at $297 million, events at $268 million and technology at $237 million. The Saudi bid projects Expo revenues of $1.53 billion, including $894 million from ticket sales.

The bid aims to introduce the world to the Kingdom and its vision for the future through the "Expo C3" Collaborative Change Zone, which would bring experts together to offer solutions to local and global challenges.

Riyadh is competing with Rome, Busan and Odesa to host the Expo. The Saudi bid proposes holding the event from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, to take advantage of ideal weather conditions and to align with the month of Ramadan.
