The Culture and Arts Association in Dammam celebrated Saudi National Day with a diverse program of cultural, artistic, and heritage activities, drawing a large audience as part of this year’s celebrations under the theme “Ezzna Btab’na.”

The program brought together visual arts, traditional performances, poetry, music, and cultural discussions, highlighting elements of Saudi heritage and national identity through a variety of creative experiences.

30 Artists Showcase More Than 50 Artworks

A major highlight was the “Tab’na Ezz” art exhibition, featuring 30 male and female artists who presented more than 50 artworks across a range of artistic styles and schools.

The works explored themes of national identity and belonging, while the wider program featured folklore performances and heritage presentations showcasing elements of traditional Saudi arts.

Poetry recitations and national chants were also included in the celebrations, adding a literary and musical dimension to the National Day program.

Al-Nahham Highlights the Region’s Maritime Heritage

The program also featured Al-Nahham, a traditional form of maritime singing historically associated with the sea and sailors, bringing an element of coastal heritage to the celebrations.

An art workshop titled “Inspiring Artists” focused on developing contemporary artistic approaches, while a cultural evening titled “Contributions of the Eastern Region to the Cultural Movement” explored the region’s role in Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape.

Through its combination of heritage and contemporary artistic expression, the event provided artists and cultural practitioners with a platform to celebrate Saudi identity and national belonging.
