The Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s Eastern Region branch has stepped up its emergency medical and volunteer field readiness ahead of Saudi National Day celebrations, strengthening its capacity to respond to emergencies and provide medical assistance to citizens, residents, and visitors attending events across the region.

As part of its operational plan, the branch has increased the deployment of qualified emergency medical personnel and supported field operations with a fully equipped fleet of ambulances prepared to respond in crowded areas and locations experiencing high visitor numbers.

Medical Volunteers Support National Day Events

The Saudi Red Crescent has also activated volunteer teams comprising specialized medical personnel to provide emergency support at event locations and promote health and first-aid awareness among visitors.

The measures are designed to strengthen field readiness and facilitate rapid intervention in emergencies during National Day activities, particularly at venues expected to attract large crowds.

First-Aid Training for the Community

Alongside its field operations, the authority is strengthening community preparedness through a series of specialized first-aid training courses.

Citizens and residents can register for the courses through the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s training platform, with the initiative aimed at expanding first-aid knowledge and helping members of the community respond effectively during the initial stages of an emergency.

The authority also reminded the public to request emergency medical assistance whenever necessary by calling 997.
