As part of efforts to strengthen agricultural cooperation and develop coffee farming across the Kingdom, the Jazan Region Coffee Cooperative held a series of meetings with coffee farmers from Asir, Al Baha and Najran on the sidelines of the Saudi International Coffee Exhibition 2025. The meetings aimed to exchange expertise and improve cultivation methods in order to raise production quality and strengthen the competitiveness of Saudi coffee in local and global markets.

Sharing Expertise, Building Sustainability

The meetings focused on organic farming concepts and the best ways to care for coffee trees, alongside harvesting, processing and drying techniques, helping farmers adopt modern agricultural practices that support sustainability and raise production efficiency.

Salman Al-Malki, chairman of the Jazan Coffee Cooperative, said the initiative is part of the cooperative's efforts to promote sustainable agricultural development in coffee-growing regions, noting that sharing expertise among farmers is one of the fundamental pillars of developing the sector, which is considered one of the key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030.

Warm Welcome From Farmers

Farmers from Asir, Al Baha and Najran expressed their appreciation for the effort, saying the meetings had broadened their knowledge of modern farming methods and given them new techniques to improve the quality of their coffee crop, in line with the goals of the Sustainable Rural Development Program.

Jazan, Asir, Al Baha and Najran are among the Kingdom's leading coffee-growing regions, distinguished by mountainous terrain and a mild climate that make them an ideal environment for producing premium Saudi coffee, which is seeing growing demand at home and abroad.
