Under the generous patronage of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan region and chairman of the board of trustees of the Jazan Award for Excellence and Creativity, the annual ceremony for the award's 16th edition was held this evening at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Jizan, honoring winners across the award's various categories.

The ceremony opened with a documentary film tracing the award's journey since its launch more than two decades ago, and how it has grown into a leading knowledge platform that embraces excellence and honors creativity across scientific and professional fields, reaffirming its mission of driving excellence in the region and supporting national talent among individuals and institutions.

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Naami, Secretary-General of the award, announced that this year's edition saw 27 individuals and institutions honored across categories including leadership, excellence, academic performance, innovation, artistic and literary creativity, scientific research, environmental protection, government and educational performance, institutional excellence, media excellence, and the “Outstanding Student” category.

In remarks on behalf of the honorees, Dr. Awaji Al-Naami, winner of the leadership and excellence award, thanked Prince Mohammed bin Nasser and the board of trustees for their continued support of the region's journey of excellence and creativity.

The ceremony also featured a showcase of the winners' work and a poem written for the occasion, before Prince Mohammed bin Nasser honored the recipients, congratulating them on their achievements and expressing hope that the award would continue to spur further contributions in service of the nation and society.

The award is part of a broader set of initiatives aimed at fostering a competitive knowledge environment in Jazan region that encourages innovation and excellence, and reflects the leadership's support for creative individuals across all fields.
