As part of Riyadh Art, this weekend brings a wave of diverse artistic activity aimed at amateurs and art enthusiasts, through a series of interactive workshops, live performances and artistic conversations that invite visitors to discover their creative side and expand their knowledge of visual arts and handicrafts.

The activities are held at several cultural sites across Riyadh, most notably JAX District, which hosts specialized workshops on Friday such as “Wheel Pottery-Making,” a collaboration between the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA) and Wrth Royal Institute, alongside a graffiti workshop at Noura Bin Saidan Studio, and a “Moi Aussi” workshop organized by Saudi Crafts, encouraging participants to develop their own artistic style.

A “Van Dyke Brown Printing” workshop is also held at Qarmaa Studio, while Diriyah's Hub of Civilizations hosts art activities for children, and IV Gallery at Al-Mousa Arts Complex offers live drawing performances by a number of artists.

Activities continue on Saturday, with a group coloring event at the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art, a talk titled “Still Life” at Hadeel Al-Hussain's studio, a raw wood workshop at Amsi Lab, a stop-motion technique workshop at Merk Studio (J04), and an origami workshop at Qarmaa Studio.

Loulwa Al-Homoud's Issdar Center also hosts a dry-point engraving workshop led by artist Zeina Bardaran, while Wrth Royal Institute continues offering workshops in traditional woodcraft and carving for handicraft enthusiasts.

Dialogue sessions also continue as part of Riyadh Art's program, including a session titled “Mechanization: Archaeology of New Media Art in the Arab World,” hosted by the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale Foundation's initiative for future arts, deepening critical understanding of contemporary technologies within an Arab cultural context.
