Beijing – April 18, 2025

In a notable step strengthening the global presence of Saudi cinema, the Film Commission announced its official participation in the Beijing International Film Festival 2025, held from April 19 to 22 in the Chinese capital, one of the largest and most important film festivals in Asia and the world, offering opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthening cinematic ties between nations.

A Dedicated Saudi Pavilion at the Heart of the Global Film Event

The Commission is present through a dedicated Saudi pavilion showcasing its key initiatives and strategic projects, in addition to introducing visitors and filmmakers from around the world to creative investment opportunities within the Kingdom, and the development the film industry is witnessing in infrastructure, content and talent.

The pavilion serves as an interactive window reflecting the Kingdom's new cultural face, demonstrating the Commission's commitment to showcasing Saudi cinematic potential before a global audience of producers, distributors, critics and enthusiasts.

Supporting Talent and Promoting Saudi Films

Through this participation, the Saudi Film Commission seeks to:

  • Promote Saudi cinematic talent on the global stage.
  • Showcase the accelerating achievements of the Kingdom's film sector.
  • Explore cooperation prospects with Asian and Chinese markets in particular.
  • Expand its network of international partnerships and boost distribution and co-production opportunities.

This step falls within the Commission's vision of establishing the Kingdom's presence on the world cinema map, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals of strengthening national soft power and developing the creative industries.
