Jeddah, April 29, 2025 (1 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1446H):

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop and empower the Saudi film scene, the Red Sea Film Foundation is holding a series of special screenings under its "Directors' Program," running April 30 to May 3, 2025 at Red Sea Mall cinemas in Jeddah.

A creative showcase platform for global filmmakers

The program presents a selection of standout films by international directors under the banner "Documentary Film Days," organized in partnership with Art Jameel, providing a rich educational and artistic platform that supports visual dialogue and promotes filmmaking culture.

A learning journey for rising directors from Asia, Africa and the Arab world

The screening program coincides with the work of the "Directors' Program," overseen by Red Sea Labs, which hosts a group of rising directors from Saudi Arabia and the Arab region, along with talent from Asia and Africa, taking part in specialized filmmaking workshops, knowledge sessions with international experts and directors, and hands-on experience in screenwriting, directing and production.

A global vision for a local film industry

Through these initiatives, the Red Sea Film Foundation aims to empower the next generation of filmmakers in the Kingdom and the Arab world, transfer global filmmaking expertise to Saudi talent, and expand the network of artistic connections among filmmakers across the Global South.

These events reflect the foundation's commitment to strengthening the Kingdom's position as a leading regional film industry hub and supplying the local market with talent capable of competing globally, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals for the creative economy.
