SAKAKA — As part of its awareness efforts to ensure the security and safety of pilgrims, the General Directorate of Border Guard today launched the "No Hajj Without a Permit" mobile exhibition at Cityz Mall in Sakaka, Al-Jouf region, running until May 16, 2025.

The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the importance of complying with Hajj regulations and instructions, and to reinforce a "permit first" culture, ensuring pilgrims can perform their rites in an atmosphere of security, reassurance and comfort.

The Border Guard's pavilion at the exhibition showcases:

  • Its field efforts in protecting borders and entry points during the Hajj season
  • The legal penalties for those caught without a Hajj permit
  • The penalties for transporting or harboring violators

The initiative is part of a series of awareness campaigns run by security agencies to ensure full compliance with Hajj regulations and instructions, enhance public safety for pilgrims, and prevent any attempts to circumvent the rules.

The General Directorate of Border Guard also called on citizens and residents to report violators through the unified numbers: 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.

The Border Guard affirmed through this campaign that the safety of pilgrims is a shared national responsibility, and that compliance with official permits is part of the security and organizational integration needed for a successful Hajj season.
