Madinah, June 4, 2025 (8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446H) — As part of ongoing efforts to boost domestic tourism and raise quality of life, Madinah has unveiled a number of tourism and cultural destinations and experiences that offer distinctive attractions for visitors to the region during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, through development programmes and innovative initiatives carried out by the Madinah Region Development Authority and the region's municipality, aimed at enriching the visitor experience with knowledge and beauty.

Mount Ayr Summit: An Evening Panorama From 900 Metres

The summit of Mount Ayr is among the newest tourist attractions recently prepared to receive visitors, with a dedicated vehicle road and service facilities including a cafe, a restaurant and panoramic seating areas overlooking Madinah from the south. The project is one of the leading investment initiatives that combine natural beauty with modern services, and is seeing growing demand from visitors, particularly during the cooler evening hours.

Wadi Al-Aqiq: An Urban Experience With a Historical Vision

Development work on the western side of Wadi Al-Aqiq, one of the city's most historically significant landmarks, has been completed, featuring pedestrian walkways, cycling tracks, shaded seating areas and night lighting, alongside organised sales points and service facilities, making the site an ideal destination for families and nature lovers during Eid.

King Fahd Central Park: The Beating Heart of Entertainment

King Fahd Central Park is a green icon stretching more than 4.5 kilometres, connected to the city's neighbourhoods via the Second Ring Road, making it easy to access. The park contains artificial lakes, play areas, the heritage Al-Aynia Market, an art exhibition, barbecue facilities, and parking for more than 4,000 vehicles, offering an ideal setting for families and children to enjoy the Eid holiday in a safe, organised atmosphere.

These projects reflect the direction of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing local tourism destinations, by making the most of natural and historical sites and turning them into modern, sustainable destinations that support the local economy and raise the city's appeal as a year-round tourism destination.
