Mina, June 7, 2025 (11 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446H) — As part of its intensive outreach and religious-guidance efforts during Hajj season, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance organised two awareness lectures today at Masjid Al-Khaif in Mina, following the Maghrib and Isha prayers, before a large gathering of pilgrims, in a scene of faith reflecting their keenness to deepen their religious knowledge and perform the rites correctly.

The first lecture, titled "Know That There Is No God but God," was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Fraih, professor of comparative jurisprudence at the Higher Institute of Judiciary, who explained the greatness of the declaration of monotheism and its importance in Islamic belief, describing it as the fundamental pillar of faith and the foundation of religion, and noting its effect on the heart's tranquillity and the elevation of one's status, particularly during the blessed days of Hajj when rewards are multiplied and prayers are answered.

The second lecture, "Good Deeds: The Path to Closeness to God," was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Yahya Al-Haddadi, a faculty member at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, who discussed the merit of good deeds and their effect on self-purification and righteous conduct, citing Quranic and Prophetic texts urging believers to hasten toward good works and sincerity in worship, and urging pilgrims to make the most of these blessed days to draw closer to God.

The lectures form part of the ministry's outreach programme to spread moderate religious awareness and educate pilgrims on the rulings and etiquette of the rites in an accessible, scholarly manner, deepening their spiritual and practical understanding of the purposes of Hajj and helping achieve tranquillity and reassurance for pilgrims to the Sacred House.
