Islamic Affairs Ministry Bids Farewell to Russian Pilgrims at Al-Batha Crossing With the 'Gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques'
Dammam, 15 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446H (June 11, 2025) — In a scene reflecting the essence of authentic Islamic values, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance — represented by its branch in the Eastern Province — bid farewell to delegations of pilgrims arriving from Russia as they departed via Al-Batha crossing, as part of its seasonal work accompanying the 1446H Hajj season.
Ministry staff presented the departing pilgrims with copies of the Holy Quran translated into multiple languages, published by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah, as part of the "Gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" programme, which embodies the Saudi leadership's care for pilgrims and its keenness to send them off with the finest expressions of hospitality and attention.
The departing pilgrims expressed their deep gratitude for the initiative, describing the Holy Quran as "the most precious thing carried home in their luggage," and considering the blessed gift a symbol of great appreciation from the Kingdom's government and an extension of the Saudi hospitality that had accompanied them from the moment they arrived until their departure.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs said the initiative is part of implementing the plan to distribute the Gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at various land, air and sea crossings, to serve as a spiritual closing note to pilgrims' experience after performing the rites, and to leave a lasting spiritual impact in their hearts as they return to their home countries.
