Hail, Saudi Arabia — July 11, 2025

The "Bait Hail 2025" festival ("The House Is Your House... Oh, Dear Guest"), held at Aja Park entertainment resort, has continued to draw thousands of visitors since it launched at the start of the summer season, with attendance surpassing 27,000 visitors from across the Kingdom, the Gulf and international tourists, amid widespread praise for the rich cultural experience it offers.

The festival ranks among the region's most prominent cultural and heritage events, offering more than 40 daily activities running from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., within a family-friendly entertainment setting that blends handicrafts, folk performances and contemporary art.

A Living Heritage That Pulses With Life

Visitors wander daily among the stalls of craftswomen and craftsmen who revive the tools and practices of their ancestors, demonstrating how natural resources were turned into everyday tools — reflecting the quality and historical resilience of Saudi heritage.

Among the standout crafts and activities: palm-frond and fiber weaving; sadu weaving, crochet and traditional textiles; Hail-style and Najdi door-making and leatherwork; resin art, soap-making and Thamudic embroidery; a fine arts pavilion; and daily folk performances on stage, including the Samri, Ardah and Southern Step. There is also a corner dedicated to architectural heritage and the traditional Hail incense burner.

Many visitors expressed deep admiration for the living crafts and the stories of hardship that reflect their ancestors' lives, saying the festival serves as a living visual and cultural reference for the new generation to understand how earlier generations lived and skillfully harnessed nature.
