In a rare natural setting, Wadi Dhi Ghazal, located in the Al-Shafa center of Taif governorate, stands as one of the most prominent tourism destinations combining mountainous natural beauty with rich local heritage. The valley attracts thousands of visitors seeking peace and adventure amid an exceptional mountain environment and integrated tourism services that add comfort and entertainment to the experience.
The valley boasts a charming mix of varied mountain terrain, flowing waterways, and seasonal plants, alongside the famous Taif rose farms that color the valley with their vivid hues and fragrant aromas, in addition to bee and honey farms that produce some of the finest honey in Al-Shafa region.
Hamid Al-Sufyani, a tourist guide in Al-Shafa center, explained that the valley is located about 5 kilometers from the main Al-Shafa center, and is easily accessible via a mountain road that passes local fruit stalls and rose vendors, adding a cultural and popular dimension to the trip. The site also offers opportunities for hiking, camping, and exploring temporary waterfalls that form after rainfall, affirming that the valley is a favorite destination for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation in pristine surroundings.
Khaled Al-Waqdani, who is interested in mountain heritage, explained that Wadi Ghazal offers not just a natural experience but a blend of mountain character with Taif's heritage culture, as the farms scattered around the valley express the depth of local agricultural heritage, especially in growing grapes, figs, and pomegranates, alongside bee farms that produce "Al-Shafa honey," rich in health benefits and an authentic part of Taif's food and social identity.
The valley is one of the symbols of tourism attraction as part of Taif Summer events, and is witnessing growing interest from tourism authorities to enhance its assets and develop its services, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goal of enabling eco-tourism and cultural tourism, and supporting the local community economically and culturally.
