Madinah | 4 August 2025. At the heart of the children's pavilion at the Madinah International Book Fair 2025, "Chef's Kitchen" has captured the attention of children and their families as one of the standout interactive experiences combining entertainment and education, giving young visitors a unique opportunity to explore the world of healthy cooking, gain new skills that develop their palate, and connect with Madinah's culinary identity.

The activity is part of the notable initiatives organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, as part of its effort to create a stimulating educational environment that blends culture and enjoyment and integrates healthy values with local heritage.

"Chef's Kitchen" is supervised by a team specialized in working with children, running enjoyable workshops that introduce participants to steps for preparing simple recipes based on Madinah dates, such as "date and nut balls," "date sandwiches" and "dipped dates," in a safe setting that takes account of age differences and sensory skills.

These activities help build fine motor skills and expand children's culinary palates, as well as connecting them with an authentic local product that forms part of the region's cultural and economic identity: Madinah dates, long a symbol of generosity and high nutritional value.

"Chef's Kitchen" is part of a comprehensive program for the fair's children's pavilion, which includes open interactive spaces, drawing and reading workshops, and a storytelling theatre, alongside innovative educational games, all aimed at presenting culture in an engaging way that instills a love of knowledge in young minds.
