The Ministry of Culture continues staging the theatrical production "Tarhal" at Diriyah Squares Theatre through August 25, an immersive experience that blends young Saudi creativity with international theatrical expertise, offering an artistic model that balances global standards with the depth of local identity.

The production is the result of a collaboration involving more than 120 artists and professionals from Saudi Arabia and several other countries, forming a comprehensive production that merges contemporary visual storytelling with Saudi cultural and emotional themes, within an immersive theatre framework built on modern technology and an advanced visual style.

The Ministry of Culture worked to provide a professional production infrastructure that allows Saudi talent to learn, participate and innovate, through creative workshops held ahead of the show and direct collaboration with international experts in movement direction, scenography, smart lighting design, digital effects and original music.

"Tarhal" maintains a careful balance between local character and global professionalism: its scenes depict images of Saudi heritage such as handicrafts, traditional majlis gatherings, folk cuisine and chants, while employing the latest global theatre technologies, from lighting that reacts to the performers’ movements to innovative digital effects.

The production marks an advanced step in empowering Saudi Arabia’s performing arts sector — it is not just a stage show but also a production success story behind the scenes, proving that Saudi theatre can serve as a platform for honing talent, a bridge for global cultural cooperation, and a hub for theatrical knowledge.
