Ministry of Culture Concludes "Tarhal" Performance in Diriyah with Saudi and International Talent
RIYADH, 26 August 2025 — The Ministry of Culture has concluded the events of the second edition of the performance "Tarhal" (Journey), hosted at the Midan site in Diriyah governorate from 4 to 25 August, amid notable public turnout from various segments of society.
The performance offered an exceptional artistic experience combining Saudi nature with modern theatrical techniques through light and visual shows, and captivating theatrical and performance tableaux, performed by young Saudi artists alongside international stars.
"Tarhal" tells the story of a young Saudi man who discovers his homeland, culture and heritage during an inspiring journey across the Kingdom, returning more confident in the future and more connected to his roots. The performance drew its scenes from the Kingdom's stunning natural landscapes, blending traditional performing arts, heritage music, handicrafts, authentic fashion and local culinary arts, alongside dazzling acrobatic performances on the ground and in the air.
"Tarhal" is the first Saudi performance of its kind to be presented to world-class standards, and comes as part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to provide the public with distinguished artistic offerings and cement the Kingdom's standing as a global cultural destination, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
