The Diriyah Gate Development Authority has announced the launch of Diriyah Season 2025-2026 under the theme "Your Pride and Your Legacy" ("Ezzak wa Malfak"), which this year takes on a new look celebrating Diriyah's rich heritage and history as the birthplace of the First Saudi State, reflecting the spirit of Saudi authenticity and hospitality.

The announcement came during a media event held in Historic Diriyah, where the season's new visual identity โ€” blending history, culture, art and innovation โ€” was unveiled ahead of the launch of programs and events on November 1, 2025.

The new season identity draws its elements from Wadi Hanifah as a source of creativity and knowledge, and from Diriyah's standing as a symbol of Saudi history, embodying a cultural meeting point between a storied past and a creative present.

Ahlam Al Thunayan, director of Diriyah Season, said: "The 'Your Pride and Your Legacy' theme captures the essence of the new identity, evoking Diriyah's history and embodying values of pride, hospitality and pioneering spirit through premium programs that make this the largest edition in the season's history, affirming Diriyah's standing as an exceptional cultural and tourism destination."

She added that the season represents a renewed cultural movement inspired by the symbolism of Wadi Hanifah, offering an experience that combines authenticity with contemporary creativity, noting that the events are designed to reflect cultural sustainability and empower future generations.

The season features more than 10 main programs spread across various historic and natural sites, most notably:

  • "Diriyah Nights" in Al Muraikh district, combining music, art and culinary experiences.
  • "Season Market" in Al Tuwaliq area, inspired by ancient Japanese "Kiuto" culture to mark the 70th anniversary of Saudi-Japanese relations.
  • "Manzal," a luxury hospitality experience overlooking Wadi Safar.
  • The "Teen" (Clay) Festival in At-Turaif district, celebrating authentic Najdi architecture.
  • The Diriyah Novel Festival in Al Bujairi district, dedicated to storytelling and narrative arts.
  • "Echo of the Valley," showcasing Saudi folk arts such as Samri dance and poetry performances.

The "Hal Al-Qusour" exhibition in At-Turaif district will offer glimpses into Diriyah's political and social life, while the "Musalliyah" and "Al-Huwait" programs will feature activities dedicated to children and families, along with artistic and interactive workshops in Samhan district.

Diriyah Season 2025-2026 forms part of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority's comprehensive strategy to strengthen Diriyah's position as a global cultural destination and highlight it as the "cradle of the founding of the Saudi state," through events that support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in culture, tourism and the creative economy, with a focus on environmental sustainability and empowering national talent.
