The Jazan Region Strategic Development Office is a legally independent body headquartered in Jazan city, responsible for comprehensive planning and development of the region across urban, economic, social, cultural, environmental, transport and infrastructure fields.
The office formulates general development policies, prepares strategic plans and studies, builds a unified urban information database, oversees the upgrading of existing neighbourhoods and informal settlements, and drafts building and land-use regulations. It also sits on the supreme committees of the region's major events.
