The 45th Al Baraka Symposium on Islamic Economics convened at Prince Mugrin bin Abdulaziz University in Madinah on 16 and 17 April 2025, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and opened on his behalf by Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan, under the title "Islamic Banking in Fifty Years: Past Achievements and Future Hopes".
Experts from more than 15 countries took part, the "Saleh Kamel Award" was launched in honour of the forum's founder, and sessions addressed the future of Islamic finance and financial technology.
