The Al Baraka Forum for Islamic Economics, in partnership with Prince Mugrin bin Abdulaziz University, held the 46th Al Baraka Symposium on Islamic Economics in Madinah from 9 to 11 February 2026 under the title "The Charity Sector in the Islamic Economy: Towards a New Future".
Across six scientific sessions with experts and scholars from 18 countries, the symposium discussed the role of endowments, zakat and charitable work in development and Islamic finance, and closed with recommendations issued by the forum's general secretariat.
