The King Abdulaziz Public Library, represented by its General Administration for Children, has launched the "AI Generation" summer camp, an educational initiative aimed at developing the skills of children and young people in artificial intelligence, programming, innovation and modern technology, in a learning environment combining study, hands-on experience and interactive activities.
The camp targets ages 9 to 15 and runs from 12 July to 5 August 2026, two days a week over eight training days. Participants follow a varied program covering robotics basics, programming, game design and 3D printing, along with cultural and recreational activities that foster creativity and teamwork.
Sundus Al Sharif, Director of the General Administration for Children at the King Abdulaziz Public Library, said the camp is part of the library's efforts to offer quality programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 that help prepare a generation with the skills of the future, through an interactive learning environment built on practical application that nurtures a spirit of innovation and discovery.
The program goes beyond technical skills, focusing also on developing participants' character, building self-confidence and developing critical thinking, presentation and communication skills, offering an integrated learning experience that combines knowledge with life skills.
The camp extends the series of programs the King Abdulaziz Public Library offers children and young people, including reading programs, artistic talent development, handicraft workshops, drawing, theater performances and cultural publications for children.
