International Falcon Breeders Auction 2026 Reinforces the Kingdom's Standing as a Global Reference for Falconry
The Saudi Falcons Club is organizing the International Falcon Breeders Auction 2026 from 5 to 25 August 2026 at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, continuing its role as the largest international platform dedicated to showcasing and selling locally and internationally bred falcons, and supporting the Kingdom's goals of preserving the heritage of falconry and growing its economy.
The auction attracts leading falcon breeding farms from around the world, with the finest bloodlines displayed in dedicated pavilions alongside the auction platform, where live bidding takes place before falconers, breeders and enthusiasts. The event is broadcast on television and digital platforms to widen its reach at home and abroad.
The 2026 edition follows the auction's success in previous years. In 2025 it recorded notable growth across every indicator: sales rose 23% to more than SAR 13 million, up from more than SAR 10 million in 2024, while the number of falcons sold rose 27% to 1,103, compared with 872 the year before.
International participation also widened, with 67 breeding farms from 23 countries taking part in 2025, compared with 56 farms from 19 countries in 2024, along with 19 Saudi breeding farms, reflecting growing global confidence in the auction and its role in developing the falcon market.
Among last year's headline deals was the sale of a Pure Super White Gyr falcon for SAR 1.2 million, a sign of the quality of the bloodlines on offer and the sector's rising economic value.
This year's auction is the Saudi Falcons Club's first event since the issuance of its new charter, and continues a journey that began in 2021, over which the event has evolved into an organized international falcon market that combines the preservation of authentic national heritage with investment and a trusted commercial environment for breeding farms and falconers.
Visitors can explore a selection of locally and internationally bred falcon bloodlines through the breeding farm pavilions and falconry supplies pavilions, along with the live auction platform, interactive displays and the Future Falconer pavilion, which introduces new generations to the heritage of falconry and nurtures their passion for this authentic pursuit.
