Jubbah lies inside the Nafud desert about 100 kilometres north-west of the city of Hail, and was inscribed together with Shuwaymis on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015 as "Rock Art in the Hail Region", the Kingdom's fourth site on the list.
Jabal Umm Sinman in Jubbah holds about 5,431 inscriptions and drawings, including 1,944 animal figures, 1,378 camels and 262 human figures, spanning periods from the Neolithic through the Thamudic period between 2500 and 1500 BC, documenting the domestication of camels and hunting life on the shores of an ancient lake.
Researchers and tourists visit the site on Heritage Commission trails, and the rock art features in regional festivals such as "Hirfa" through interpretive corners.
