Aba Al-Saud is the historic centre of Najran around the Emirate Palace, once a hub of the coffee and raisin trade, with seven traditional craft souqs for leather, palm weaving, rugs, farming tools and weaving, the most famous being the Janabi souq where the Najrani janbiya dagger is made and sold in its traditional forms. The district also holds the Al-Amiriyah school, founded in 1362 AH and later known as the Saudi School.
Its souqs come alive in Ramadan and before Eid, and its squares host the municipality's seasonal events and the Khayrat Najran festival.
