The King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran stands on Tabuk Road in the Al-Nakheel area north-west of Madinah. Its foundation stone was laid on 16 Muharram 1403 AH (1982) and it opened on 6 Safar 1405 AH (1985) on 250,000 square metres, under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
Its production capacity is 18 million copies a year, and it has produced more than 300 million copies of the Quran and translations of its meanings in over 70 languages, with about 1,100 employees. The complex receives visitors in two periods from Sunday to Thursday, and was visited by guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Hajj programme in June 2026.
