Al Aydabi, 24 Sha'ban 1447 AH (12 February 2026)

The "Jazan Honey 2026" exhibition, held as part of the Jazan 2026 festival at the Cultural Center square in Al Aydabi Governorate, has drawn more than 40,000 visitors over the past sixteen days, reflecting its standing as a prominent tourism and economic event in the region.

Visitors from inside and outside the region flocked to the sales outlets and exhibitors' corners to see high-quality honey products, take advantage of the offers inside the honey tent, and follow the accompanying cultural and entertainment events and the seminars and training courses for beekeepers.

Sulaiman Al Ghazwani, Executive Director of the exhibition and Vice Chairman of the Jazan Beekeepers Cooperative Association, said the exhibition met its goals of marketing the local honey for which the region is known, noting that around 6 tons of honey were sold for more than SAR 2 million.

He said the exhibition helped introduce the tourism potential of Al Aydabi Governorate and its natural wealth, valleys and varied vegetation, which make it a distinctive destination for beekeepers.

He said the exhibition aims to raise the quality of local honey and its derivatives, increase community confidence in them and encourage beekeepers to develop production by providing new marketing opportunities, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of supporting the agricultural sector and the local economy.

He noted that 60 beekeepers are taking part, offering more than 15 varieties of the high-quality honey the region produces, and that the exhibition is distinguished by its family atmosphere and varied events, including a children's theater, entertainment activities inspired by honey and bees, and prizes and gifts for visitors, offering a complete experience that strengthens beekeeping as an important tourism and economic element in the region's present and future.
