The Jazan region has brought the curtain down on performances of the local play "Guardian of the Stage", the closing stop of the second Local Theater Tour, in a prominent cultural event reflecting the rapid growth of the performing arts sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The performances took place at the Culture House theater before a notable audience and strong engagement from theater and arts enthusiasts.

The play offered a deep human drama exploring the complex relationship between the artist and the stage, through the story of an actress who returns to her artistic world after a long absence and confronts existential questions about continuing, choosing and the challenges of the contemporary art scene. The work drew the audience in through its moving dialogue and a narrative structure that revealed the multiple psychological and professional dimensions of its central character.

The performances drew notable engagement from the audience, who praised the artistic and directorial quality of the work, reflecting the development of local theater production and its ability to address human issues in a moving, creative style. The visual elements and realistic approach strengthened the audience's connection with the performance and delivered a complete artistic experience.

The Theater and Performing Arts Association said the tour is part of its continued efforts to support local theater troupes and provide professional performance platforms that develop artists' skills and strengthen the presence of theater in the Saudi cultural scene, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The event was complemented by an accompanying cultural program of art workshops and handicraft corners, along with interactive spaces for children, giving the event a comprehensive entertainment and cultural dimension and encouraging the participation of every segment of the community.

The continued success of "Guardian of the Stage" reflects growing interest in the performing arts in the Kingdom, their role in enriching the cultural scene and the new horizons they open for national talent in acting, directing and theater production.
