The Eastern Province Municipality has organized a special event marking World Creativity and Innovation Day, as part of its continued efforts to spread a culture of innovation and stimulate creative energy among members of the community, supporting an advanced knowledge environment that contributes to sustainable development.

The event spotlighted innovation as a fundamental pillar of community development, with interactive stands presenting inspiring examples of student projects and technological innovations that reflected an advanced level of creative thinking and the ability to turn ideas into practical solutions that meet community needs and keep pace with rapid change.

Faleh Al Dossary, Director General of Public Relations and Chairman of the Events Committee, said the municipality continues to support initiatives that strengthen the innovation environment, noting that investing in young talent is the cornerstone of a sustainable future built on knowledge and technology, especially as the world moves toward the digital economy.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships with educational and research institutions to nurture and develop entrepreneurial ideas and turn them into viable projects, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which places innovation among its strategic priorities for comprehensive development.

The event saw active participation from students of the Prince Saud bin Nayef Complex and Ghiras Schools, who presented a varied set of innovative projects ranging from technology solutions to smart applications, reflecting the growing awareness of innovation among the new generation and its ability to apply knowledge in solutions that serve the community.

The initiative is part of a series of programs launched by the municipality to instill creativity in the workplace and the community and promote innovation as an effective tool for confronting future challenges, improving quality of life and supporting development in the Eastern Province.
