The Hira Cultural District in Makkah is continuing to offer visitors a complete experience through the journey up to the Cave of Hira, combining spiritual depth with educational enrichment and evoking the moment of the first revelation to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, one of the most significant milestones in the history of Islam.

The Cave of Hira sits at the summit of Mount Hira, northeast of the Grand Mosque, and is one of the most important Islamic sites visited by Muslims from around the world for its profound religious value tied to the beginning of the Islamic message.

The ascent trails have undergone comprehensive development as part of the Hira Cultural District project, creating an organized and safe environment that lets visitors complete the journey with ease and peace of mind, with guidance elements and support services along the route that ease movement and improve safety.

The experience includes rest points spread along the path, allowing visitors to contemplate the surrounding mountain landscape and reflect on the meanings of faith tied to the site, along with modern technology that presents historical and educational information enriching the visit and connecting it to its religious context.

The Hira Cultural District hosts a range of cultural and interactive facilities, most notably the Holy Quran Museum, which traces the history of writing the Quran and the stages of its printing, as well as modern exhibitions on the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him, presented through advanced digital and educational displays.

The project is part of efforts to develop historical and religious sites under Saudi Vision 2030, improving the visitor experience, raising cultural and religious awareness and offering reliable knowledge content in a contemporary style that befits Makkah's global standing.
