Smart Guidance System and Mobile Teams Support Pilgrims' Movement Inside the Grand Mosque
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has announced the development of its guidance system inside the Grand Mosque, activating mobile teams and expanding smart guidance services as part of its continued efforts to improve the experience of the Guests of God and raise service quality during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.
The initiative aims to make movement easier inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards and reduce disorientation among visitors, through an integrated field and technology system that supports direct guidance and communication with pilgrims of all nationalities.
Less Disorientation, a Better Visitor Experience
The authority said the initiative aims to cut the rate of disorientation among visitors to 8% during the Hajj season, through a guidance system that has already served more than 639,770 beneficiaries.
These efforts also help pilgrims reach the various sites and services inside the Grand Mosque and improve the flow of movement in high-density areas.
15 Guidance Points and Mobile Field Teams
The operational plan raises the efficiency of 15 fixed guidance points inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, and expands the use of mobile teams comprising 40 field staff.
This field deployment offers greater flexibility in directing visitors and guiding them to their destinations, especially at peak times and in seasons with high densities of worshippers and pilgrims.
Strengthening Field Staff
As part of developing the service, the authority announced an increase of 20 staff dedicated to guidance work, strengthening field coverage and raising the efficiency of direct support for those visiting the Grand Mosque.
This is part of plans to expand guidance and organizational services aimed at improving the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers inside the Grand Mosque.
Reviewing Instant Translation Devices
The authority is also studying the results of the instant translation devices activated during last Ramadan, analyzing their strengths and challenges ahead of expanding their use during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.
The step aims to support communication with pilgrims and visitors of different nationalities and cultures and ease the delivery of guidance messages in multiple languages.
Smart Solutions for the Guests of God
These initiatives are part of the development services provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, aimed at providing a smooth and safe experience for those visiting the Two Holy Mosques.
The efforts also reflect the drive to use modern technology and smart solutions in crowd management and in improving services for pilgrims and Umrah performers, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
