Umm Al-Qura University is continuing the activities of the 26th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visit Research with a series of research and professional workshops focused on developing services for pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors, raising the efficiency of operations and improving the overall experience of the Guests of God.

The workshops addressed a range of issues related to housing, transport, communication and community services, along with the use of modeling, simulation and technical solutions to analyze operational challenges and arrive at more efficient practices.

Research workshops covered measuring the quality of pilgrim and Umrah performer housing in Makkah's central area, raising the governance and service quality of charitable associations serving pilgrims, and evaluating the performance of the bus rapid transit system and its impact on the user experience.

One workshop examined the effect of the organizational shift to companies on the effectiveness of communication between pilgrims and service providers, while another explored the use of modeling and simulation to improve bus movement at the pilgrim reception station in Al-Nawariyah, helping to support data-driven decisions and smoother traffic flow.

The program also included professional workshops with entities connected to the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem, discussing field, health, technical and service topics along with safety, awareness, crowd management, transport and workforce efficiency.

This track is part of the efforts of Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, to link scientific research with practical application and turn study findings into implementable solutions, supporting the development of Hajj, Umrah and visit services and enhancing the quality of the pilgrim experience.
