The fourth edition of the Riyadh Global Biomedical Technology Summit 2026 kicked off in Riyadh, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Head of the Council of Ministers, and President of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Biotechnology Center. The event, taking place from September 14 to 16, 2026, is themed “Building Foundations of Excellence in Biomedical Technology” and is organized by the Ministry of National Guard, through its Health Affairs, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, and King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, with the Future Investment Initiative as a strategic partner.

More than 100 speakers, including executive leaders, university presidents, researchers, experts, and specialists, will discuss the key transformations in the biomedical technology sector and the opportunities for translating research and innovations into practical health applications and solutions.

The summit will address strategic files such as national policies and strategies, regulatory frameworks, funding of innovation and investment, development of research and development infrastructure, and building human capacities, alongside showcasing the latest innovations and technologies shaping the future of the sector.

The event includes a concurrent exhibition featuring government, academic, health, technological, industrial, and investment entities, showcasing the latest medical products, services, solutions, and advanced technologies, fostering knowledge exchange and interaction among various stakeholders.

The agenda includes interactive sessions, scientific meetings, and specialized workshops, as well as investor meetings and a dedicated platform for signing agreements and memorandums of understanding, aimed at transforming cooperation opportunities into partnerships and initiatives that support the growth of the biomedical technology ecosystem in the Kingdom.

The summit holds significance in light of the growing interest in biomedical technology as a promising field in healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device development, enhancing research capabilities and attracting global expertise and investments.
