Jazan University has launched its “Artathon” arts competition as part of its Saudi National Day celebrations, providing students and university staff with a platform to showcase their creative talents and express national identity through art.

The competition is designed to discover emerging artistic talent across the university community while developing participants’ skills and encouraging creative works inspired by Saudi identity and national pride.

Four Creative Fields

Artathon features four main creative fields: fine arts, photography and film, music and performance, and theater.

Through these diverse categories, participants can explore different forms of artistic expression and produce works that reflect their connection to the Kingdom and its national identity.

Developing Talent for Future Events

Jazan University said the competition aims to identify and showcase talented students and staff while helping participants develop their artistic capabilities.

It also seeks to prepare emerging talents to contribute to university events as well as national and international occasions, while encouraging creative competition and supporting the production of original artistic works.

Artathon forms part of Jazan University’s wider Saudi National Day program and reflects its efforts to use the arts as a platform for creative expression and to strengthen the visibility of university talent across different events and activities.
