The international conference on “Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Addressing Ideological Deviations” in Madinah is highlighting national and international experiences aimed at strengthening intellectual awareness and promoting the values of moderation.

During a session titled “Intellectual Awareness and the Protection of Values,” participants discussed approaches to strengthening awareness, protecting values, and using preventive measures to address extremism and ideological deviation.

The session also presented international experiences in intellectual awareness and examined the importance of preventive awareness in addressing extremist ideas.

Saudi Education Experience in Focus

Participants reviewed the experience of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education in promoting intellectual awareness, including programs and initiatives designed to strengthen awareness among young people.

Discussions also addressed the importance of promoting moderation and values as part of broader preventive efforts, while providing opportunities to exchange experiences and expertise.

Saudi Experience in Promoting Moderation

A third session titled “The Saudi Experience in Promoting Moderation and Combating Ideological Deviations” examined research and studies related to Saudi Arabia’s experience and initiatives at both the national and international levels.

Participants discussed national initiatives and the potential to benefit from these experiences across the Islamic world, as well as programs associated with quality of life and their role in supporting the values of moderation.

AI and Technology Among Conference Topics

Across nine scientific sessions held over two days, the conference is also examining how technology, artificial intelligence, and social media platforms can contribute to efforts addressing ideological deviations and strengthening awareness.

Other discussions cover mental health, community care, and greater coordination between relevant institutions, with a focus on strengthening preventive and remedial efforts and supporting the wider role of society.
