Najran University President Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Khudairi today launched the International Exhibition and Conference on Smart Technologies and Trustworthy Systems 2025, organized by the university in cooperation with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman and the University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, held at the Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed Conference Center at Najran University.

The opening ceremony drew wide attendance from academics, researchers and international speakers from a number of universities and research centers inside and outside the Kingdom, as part of scientific events aimed at promoting innovation, smart technologies and digital transformation in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Dr. Al-Khudairi toured the conference's accompanying exhibition, which featured a range of research projects and scientific posters presented by researchers and students from various technical disciplines, covering topics including artificial intelligence, information security, modern technologies in smart systems, and sustainable digital transformation.

In his remarks, the university president said the conference is part of the university's efforts to strengthen its role as a driver of scientific research and innovation, and to affirm its commitment to supporting the transition toward a knowledge economy, explaining that the conference provides a specialized scientific platform bringing together experts, academics and industry professionals to exchange experiences and showcase the latest developments in smart technologies, trustworthy systems and cybersecurity.

He noted that this international event seeks to explore the future of technology in vital sectors such as health, education, energy and industry, helping to build an integrated knowledge system that supports digital transformation in the Kingdom.

The opening session included a video presentation covering the conference's main themes, which included:

  • The future of sustainable digital infrastructure.
