Riyadh — 12 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH / 3 November 2025.

Dr. Riyadh bin Mohammed Al-Khraif, Deputy Chair of the International Monetary Fund's International Monetary and Financial Committee, took part today in the fourth edition of the Future of the Nonprofit Sector Forum, held in Riyadh under the theme "The Role of the Nonprofit Sector in Public Diplomacy," with the participation of a select group of leaders, experts and representatives of international organizations.

The forum reviewed the efforts of Saudi Arabia's nonprofit sector within the G20's official engagement groups, alongside discussions on opportunities for it to support the Kingdom's public diplomacy and ways to strengthen its presence in international forums the Kingdom participates in or hosts.

During a dialogue session titled "Beyond 2030: The Global Sustainable Development Agenda," Dr. Al-Khraif explained that the nonprofit sector has become a key pillar in achieving sustainable development goals both locally and internationally, noting that it was one of the most prominent examples of national excellence during the Kingdom's G20 presidency in 2020, where it played a prominent role in delivering development initiatives with humanitarian and social dimensions.

He affirmed that Saudi nonprofit sector participation in international dialogues and forums, such as the G20, represents an added value that enriches global development discussions by presenting perspectives that place people at the center of development, strengthening social and economic dimensions away from the influence of geopolitical issues.

Dr. Al-Khraif noted that Saudi nonprofit organizations have proven to have an effective and influential presence at the international level by representing the Kingdom's values and humanitarian directions, participating in shaping discussions on sustainable development and humanitarian aid issues, and highlighting the true image of Saudi society, built on giving, cooperation and social responsibility.

He concluded by affirming that the Kingdom's nonprofit sector has become an active partner in shaping global solutions and represents an important contributor to national development and public diplomacy, enhancing the Kingdom's international standing and highlighting its leading role in serving humanity.

The forum also featured multiple dialogue sessions with decision-makers, leaders from the public and private sectors, and philanthropy pioneers, alongside training and orientation workshops for nonprofit sector staff, focused on capacity building and strengthening effective participation in international issues related to development and sustainability.
