Tuwaiq Academy in Riyadh is launching the Autonomous Drone Systems Bootcamp 2026 from 9 August to 10 September 2026, a specialized training program aimed at developing participants' skills in programming and operating drones and autonomous systems, using AI to analyze data and imagery.
The bootcamp offers a training experience combining theory with hands-on practice. Participants learn the architecture of autopilot systems and autonomous control mechanisms, and use simulators to test flight scenarios in virtual environments that mimic real conditions, building practical experience in unmanned flight.
The program covers a number of technical themes, most notably programming drones for autonomous missions, computer vision applications for image and video analysis, the use of AI algorithms for tracking, object recognition and decision-making, along with communication systems between drones and ground stations, data management, and training in using the ground control station and mission planning.
The bootcamp concludes with a complete applied project simulating a virtual field mission, letting participants apply the skills gained during the program in a practical setting and strengthening their readiness to work in autonomous systems and smart aviation.
The bootcamp is part of Tuwaiq Academy's efforts to prepare national talent specializing in modern technology and enable it to keep pace with rapid developments in AI and autonomous systems, in support of the goals of digital transformation and Saudi Vision 2030.
