Wadi Najran Dam is a cylindrical concrete arch dam on Wadi Najran south of the city, completed in the early 1980s (1400 to 1402 AH) at a cost of SAR 277 million. It rises 73 metres from foundation to crest with a 274-metre crest and a storage capacity of about 86 million cubic metres, making it one of the Kingdom's largest dams, built to protect against floods and recharge groundwater for the farms.
The dam's lake and mountain surroundings have become a destination for picnics and photography, and Wadi Najran was listed among the venues of the Najran Summer Festival 2026.
