Some 540 students from the General Directorate of Education in the Jazan Region have taken part in scientific and heritage trips under the "Mashina" 2026 cultural field trips initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the national heritage and instill cultural belonging among students through learning experiences outside the classroom that connect knowledge with practical reality.

The initiative is part of Jazan Education's efforts to develop learning environments and widen students' horizons through interactive field experiences that help build an aware learner able to engage with their scientific and cultural surroundings.

Field Visits to Health, Education and Heritage Sites

The trips included visits to a number of key bodies and sites in the Jazan region, including the smart pharmacy at King Fahd Central Hospital in Jazan, the command and control center of the Jazan Health Cluster, Jazan University and the regional branch of the Heritage Commission.

The visits gave students a look at advanced applied models in health, technology, education and heritage, deepening their practical understanding of the theoretical knowledge they receive in class.

Linking Theory to Practice

The "Mashina" initiative aims to connect educational content with real experience by introducing students to the civilizational and development assets of the Jazan region and giving them a deeper understanding of these institutions' role in serving society and developing the region.

The initiative also broadens students' horizons and raises their awareness of the importance of preserving the national heritage, while encouraging them to take an active part in the Kingdom's sustainable development.

Diversifying Learning Environments and Building an Aware Generation

The trips are part of the General Directorate of Education in Jazan's efforts to diversify learning environments and activate quality educational programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, raising the quality of education and improving its outcomes.

These programs also seek to build a generation aware of its national identity, able to engage with the changes of the present and to envision a future built on knowledge, innovation and belonging.

"Mashina" 2026 reflects the modern direction of education toward interactive learning that places the student at the heart of the experience and offers a deeper, more grounded understanding of the world around them.
