The Ministry of Media today launched Sudanese Culture Week as part of the "Global Harmony 2" initiative, organized in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program, at Al Suwaidi Park, one of the Riyadh Season venues. The week is part of a series of cultural events showcasing 14 world cultures represented within the Kingdom.

Festivities opened with a celebratory parade capturing authentic features of Sudanese culture, with participants performing folk shows that ranged from the rhythms of the daluka drum and the melodies of the rababa to scenes from a traditional Sudanese bridal procession, a vivid heritage tableau that drew wide engagement from visitors of different nationalities.

Sudanese Culture Week features a varied program of concerts, entertainment segments and cultural pavilions, with a roster of leading Sudanese singers and influencers performing shows that reflect the diversity of Sudan's regions and the richness of its cultural and social makeup.

The events stage hosted the opening concerts before thousands of visitors, with the audience engaging with rababa melodies and songs tied to Sudanese social occasions, performed by folk artists in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the authenticity of Sudanese heritage.

Sudanese Culture Week is the final cultural week under the "Global Harmony 2" initiative, building on the initiative's success in strengthening cultural exchange and introducing audiences to the cultures of communities living in the Kingdom, embodying the values of coexistence, openness and cultural diversity the Kingdom promotes, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Tomorrow's program continues with a rich lineup including varied cultural and musical performances, a showcase of traditional Sudanese dress, and a display of products and handicrafts highlighting the authenticity of Sudan and the richness of its cultural heritage.
